The tiers are lemon cake with lemon curd filling and carrot cake with a lemon buttercream, filling, covered in fondant icing which has been coloured with food colouring to resemble marble. The middle tier is covered in rice paper ‘feathers’.
An Amaretto fruit cake, covered in marzipan and fondant. The decoration on top is painted rice paper and black fondant of the car’s logo. The decoration on the side is a drawing done with edible ink on to rice paper.
A golf themed cake. This one is 7 layers of vanilla sponge cake with a raspberry filling, covered in vanilla buttercream, with a fondant half golf ball and greenery and other decorations drawn in edible ink onto rice paper and stuck on to white fondant.
5 layers of vanilla sponge with raspberry jam filling and covered with vanilla buttercream! Hand drawn rice paper decorations for the side and hand drawn cake toppers for the top.
A two tier lemon sponge cake with lemon buttercream filling. Decoration is rice paper ‘feathers’ sprayed with an edible pearlescent lustre spray on the bottom tier and soft fondant on the top tier with fondant carnations.
Richard celebrated his 60th birthday yesterday in fine style with family and friends. Angela wanted him to have a cake reflecting two of his hobbies; DIY and cycling so here it is!
