A vanilla Victoria sponge cake with vanilla cream and raspberry jam filling. Decorated for Elaine who was celebrating her 70th birthday on Saturday. Elaine makes costumes for the local theatre group and her sisters wanted her love of sewing and the theatre to be reflected on the cake.
(She also likes cake decorating but they couldn’t ask her to make her own cake!)
