A 6″ vanilla vodka fruitcake, with a marzipan topping, wrapped in parchment paper and decorated with oven dried orange slices. A very simple decoration for someone who loves fruitcake but is not so keen on icing.

A lilac theme for this 50th Birthday girl. A vanilla sponge with raspberry jam filling and vanilla buttercream crumb coat. Happy Birthday Jo!

Claire’s mum’s 70th

Claire’s mum’s 70th birthday cake. Chocolate cake (special request from the grandkids!) and incorporating a beautiful spray of flowers which I believe the birthday girl’s mum made many years ago.

Georgia’s 18th

A very last minute cake to celebrate Georgia’s 18th birthday. Cake is a vanilla bean sponge with vanilla and white chocolate filling and covering and with a milk chocolate drip. Loaded up (of course!) with all sorts of goodies and finished off with a number 18 sparkler candle and some hand drawn horses.

Glamorous Jennifer

A ‘glamorous’ cake for Jennifer’s 21st Birthday. Chocolate cake with chocolate buttercream, covered in soft white fondant with modelling paste shoes, fondant bag and a hand drawn Happy Hour flier in edible ink onto wafer paper.

Clare’s musical cake

A little surprise birthday cake for Clare. Chocolate cake with chocolate buttercream. Happy Birthday sheet music hand drawn onto edible wafer paper with edible ink, fondant bunting and children’s toy instruments (around the sides).

A Star Wars themed cake for Jake’s 21st birthday. Really enjoyed making this one. Cake is a chocolate cake with chocolate buttercream covered in soft fondant with fondant and modelling paste figures and a fondant Death Star.

Richard’s toolbox

Richard celebrated his 60th birthday yesterday in fine style with family and friends. Angela wanted him to have a cake reflecting two of his hobbies; DIY and cycling so here it is!

Jenny’s walking cake

A walking themed cake for Jenny who is celebrating her 80th birthday. Cake is a vanilla vodka fruit cake covered with marzipan and soft fondant icing. Decorations are made from fondant icing, a little bit of pipe work and the sign post is wooden lollipop sticks which have been etched with my pyrography kit!

Dan’s 18th

Happy Birthday to Dan who celebrated his 18th last week. Both cakes were a light, moist, lemon sponge. Numbers were made with royal icing and a few fondant ones, with fondant starts on wires. A number 18 sparkler candle finishes it off.

Jack’s 21st

A 21st birthday cake for Jack who will be celebrating with family tonight. According to his mum this is exactly how he sleeps and keeps his room ‘tidy’!

Alice in Wonderland

Alice in Wonderland themed cake for Emma’s 40th birthday. Cakes were vanilla bean and the Hatter’s hat was chocolate with a milk chocolate ganache/buttercream.

Lucy’s grandma’s 80th

80th birthday cake ordered by Lucy for her grandma. Cake is a vanilla bean sponge with a vanilla cream and raspberry jam filling, covered in soft white fondant with fondant blossoms, handmade roses and birthday banner.
